Teamwork

During lunch, the clouds opened up. We got quite a bit of rain. Fortunately, everyone was inside working on the clinic.

The rain did show us a couple of places where the roof leaked. I have included a picture of the creative teamwork that goes on during a mission trip like this.

Many thanks to Howard for braving the ladder!

Setting up

A few pictures of us leaving the hotel and setting up the clinic.

Marcala at last

Here are a few pictures of the local area.

Bus ride

Although not as long as last year's trip, the bus ride gave everyone a chance to see the country.

It also gave some a chance to rest.

Breakfast stop

We stopped at Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. I took the opportunity to get a picture with Tommy and Scott. It is always good any time you can make the Elders look good!  ðŸ˜€

Sunday morning

On the bus at 4:30 am. We have a 4 hr ride. As you can see, getting up early is second nature to this group. 😃

Less than a week

Here we are less than a week away from leaving Glasgow. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and ask that you continue to keep the group in your thoughts and prayers.

We have a meeting this afternoon to finalize our trip. I will try to post those plans as soon as possible as well as keep everyone posted on our progress over the week.

Hope everyone has a great Lord's Day!

I think it has finally set in that we are less than a month away from leaving for Honduras.  Since I went to Panama last year, I have not had to get all of the shots that the "first-timers" are getting.  I am; however, still trying to put together my list of what to take.  We will be in a completely different area and, from the pictures Phil showed us, in a completely different set-up.  All I know to do is take more clothes than I need because I can leave them there for the local church.  That worked out very well last year.  That makes the bags much lighter on the way home and helps out the local congregation.

That's all for now.  Please continue to pray for our trip!
