Friday afternoon
Just a quick post to let everyone know we have made it to San Pedro Sula. Here is the first thing Scott and I did when we got here...found a cold water.
Friday update
IWe have left Marcala and all of our Latin American friends. Our side trip was to the zoo. To be honest, I was not expecting much. It was awesome! Several of us went down the zip-line. Here is that group.

Thursday night
First of all, let me say how proud I am to be a part of this work. I am also proud to be a part of the South Green St group. Whenever there was something that needed to be done, you could count on someone from our group jumping in. What a blessing.
We finished the week with 51 baptisms! That is incredible!! There were even more studies going on this evening.
Here is a brief recap of the afternoon.
We finished up at the clinic this afternoon and started the task of breaking down the equipment. That was finished in short order. At 5, we had services and classes. We ate supper around 6:30 and then began to clean up in the kitchen.
We said our goodbyes to the local members and then headed to the hotel. These goodbyes were like most others; lots of hugging, last minute pictures, and pats on the back. I am going to miss those smiling faces.
We are scheduled to leave the hotel in Marcala at 5:30 am. Should be an interesting day.
Here are a few pictures from today.
Guys in the town square.
Rayna and Faith at 1 of the local schools.
Youth doing the story of Daniel for a class at the school.
Thursday update
I forgot to mention the most important detail in my earlier post.
Yesterday, we had 14 baptisms!! That brings the total to 40 so far this week. I added a couple of pictures earlier from baptisms.
I will post more later on.
Thursday morning
Hard to believe but this is the last day for the clinic. The week has gone by fast. I have worked on everything from a pair of glasses to a wheelchair. We have filled several hand washing water bags and taken out a ton of trash. We still have today to get as much done as possible.
Here are a few pictures from yesterday.

Another wonderful day. We had 10 baptisms and 2 restorations today. Everyone is excited with the number of responses.
Classes have been going well. I had the opportunity to teach the teen class again tonight. Here are a few pictures from a couple of the classes.
Here are some other pictures.
Tuesday update
I just witnessed an 88 yr old woman being baptized. Yesterday, we had a 92 yr old baptized. How amazing is that!! Here are a couple of pictures from this morning.
On a side note, we are happy to report that some of the locals have access to high end hats. Scott found one such case at lunch.
Yes, that is a UK championship hat.
More to come...
Tuesday morning
Good morning! What a great day to be a member of Christ's church.
Before going in to the clinic, a few of us walked over to the local church building. It is just a block from the clinic.
